Max and Vanessa fly south
for the winter! We're leaving Portland, OR in late November
to catch 3 months of summer inEcuador, Peru, Uruguay,
Argentina, Chile, and then north
to Mexico. We will be students
of the South American language, history, and culture.

I finally got an opportunity to check in and see what you were up to. sounds like the adventure of a lifetime you were hoping for. that's great!
Are you beginning to feel confident that you can interact in Spanish yet? I don't mean being fluent, as that has to take a long time. but, do you know enough to get along in a spanish speaking environment?
